In partnership with Assets for Artists, this workshop investigates the potential for puppet design and construction using wood as a primary material. Inspiration abounds as we sit in residence at one of the largest contemporary art museums in North America.

Step into a whimsical world where soft cotton glows with warm candle-like light, and natural reed and paper forms emerge from the darkness. Participants will explore the creation of imaginative sculptural forms which can sit within the context of a gallery or be used more as a performative object, an extension of the body, or an embodied mask.
